What is the course about?

An exploration of Roman London and its defensive wall.

What will we cover?

In the morning we’ll explore London’s Roman wall – more of it survives than you’d imagine! In the afternoon we explore the excellent Roman London Galleries at the Museum of London and the Roman fort.

By the end of this course you should be able to...

provide some details about Roman Britain and Roman London.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

No previous knowledge needed – just interest! We will walk for about 2 miles through the City of London during the day.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Guided walk along London’s Roman wall and fort, plus gallery tour.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No other costs.It is suggested you wear comfortable shoes and suitable clothing for an outdoor activity. Umbrella or outdoor wear with hood recommended in case of rain.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

Other Classical civilisations or language classes from September.
