What is the course about?
The course is aimed at people who want to learn a new skill of nail art. Learners will use nail polish, tools and techniques to create designs on their own fingernails. These skills can be replicated at home.
What will we cover?
Learn about nail art, the tools and techniques to use to create nail art. We will create 5 different designs including stamp art, layers, french tip designs, 3D cane sticks and blended varnish. Students will be given handouts on how to create designs and can recreate them at home.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Create 5 new designs using nail varnish, tools and techniques learned in the course. Recognise the tools needed and where to purchase these for future.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Suitable for beginners and those wanting to learn how to use nail varnish in a new way. Previous experience in painting your own nails is helpful but not mandatory, as we will learn how to effectively paint a nail. This course uses nail art in the context of relaxation only and is not to be confused with Beauty or Nail Practitioner industry related standards or qualifications.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This is 100% hands-on, in-class work. Students will learn and then do the nail art on their own hands. One to one guidance and support will be given throughout. Each student will be provided nail varnish and tools to use in class and take home to practice.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Arrive with bare nails. Items will be provided and are included within the course.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
