What is the course about?
A variety of people who lived in London and discovering sites that are relevant to them. You will learn about their lives and the many places associated with them via one lecture and 9 walks.
There will be no session on Saturday 10 March..
What will we cover?
Theatre, film, philanthropy, music, art, London topography, a variety of personalities who lived and worked in London, leaving their mark on the life of the capital.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Identify places in London associated with the various personalities covered on the course.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
No skills required but should be able to undertake a moderately paced two hour walking tour.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Via walking tours, a lecture and handouts. No work outside the class required.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Warm clothing, comfortable shoes, umbrella in case of rain, suitable clothes for the English weather, notebook if you wish to take notes.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
