What is the course about?
Understand the techniques and skills required to become a responsive improviser. Generate new material for characters, for new writing and for confidence building through a range of exercises. You will develop spontaneity, freedom of inhibition and a true 'presence' here.
What will we cover?
* Spontanoeus improvisation technqiues
* Scene development techniques
* Solo, partner and group improvisation skills
* Imagination and creative choices in scene and character development.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This si acourse for ALL levels. From those with an interest in improvisational skills (for theatre, screen or even the business world) to those who are requiring a deeper skillset in improvisation as a craft for their current work. A fun and enjoyable series of classes that will stretch you to a new found freedom of spontaneous response.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This si a highly practical class. There may be, subject to materail, some requiremnt for investigative work or continued developemtn at home.
As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.

You could progress to one of our Improvers or Advanced Improvisation classes (subject to ability), or pursue additional acting techniques through our range of Acting classes.
