Description

What is the course about?

This course aims to strengthen what you already know in French. You will learn new structures and vocabulary around different topics in order to communicate in the language in everyday situations. The emphasis is on speaking and listening.

What will we cover?

Topics: talk about hobbies and free time as well as your routine in details, start talking about past events

Grammar: consolidation of present tense (-ER/-IR/-RE, irregulars, reflexive and modals verbs) introduction to past tense (passé composé), use of adjectives, comparative, introduction to pronouns and adverbs.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- talk about your hobbies
- describe yourself and others
- buy clothe and other items

- use present tense confidently
- use the singular and plural of adjuectives confidently
- use basic comparative form
- make simple sentences using the "passén composé"

Please note that the above outcomes are flexible as the pace of the lessons will depend on the achievements of the group of students.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

For students who have completed French beginners module 2 or who have studied French recently for about 1 year. You need to use the verbs at the present tense confidentally.

You will need to be at ease with the use of numbers for daily activities (e.g. using money, telling the time, using the 24 hour clock, reading timetables).
