  1. Foundation diploma in art and design: stage 1

    This exciting course is a chance to develop key creative skills and approaches to art and design in 2D, 3D, life drawing and critical studies. If you complete stage 1 successfully you'll be able to progress onto stage 2 of the formal Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. Please note that the course runs for two days (10.30 - 16.30) per week. Students are able to choose between studying on Tuesdays and Wednesdays OR Wednesdays and Fridays. In addition to the two days a week there will be six evening sessions (17:30 - 20:00) on Wednesday evenings.

  2. Build ceramics diploma: two-year course

    Term 3 :30 April 2020 – 03 July 2020

    Designed for people with previous experience in ceramics or other art related practice, this course encourages your development in a broad-based programme of ceramic study. You will have the opportunity to exhibit at the New Designers show at the Business Design Centre in Islington and an external venue for your final exhibition. Please note, advertised fees and course dates are subject to change. Fees quoted are inclusive of two years of study. Payment plans will be available, details of which are to be confirmed.

    You will need to bring a portfolio of 2D and 3D/clay work alongside your sketchbooks. During the interview you will be asked write a short paragraph to demonstrate your writing skills and to show your understanding of the use of numbers.Once you have submitted an application for the course, you will be contacted by the department to arrange your interview slot.

  3. Build basketry course: advanced

    For learners experienced in a wide range of basketry techniques, this is a new course to build develop your skills. You will be introduced to some new techniques and emphasis will be placed on self directed study and developing a personal portfolio of work. This course is suitable for those experienced in a wide range of basketry techniques and who have completed the Build basketry course or have equivalent skills. These will be discussed at a pre-enrolment interview.
