  • Centenary events 2018-19

    September 2019 marks 100 years since Build opened its doors, to celebrate we're hosting a special programme of events in 2018 and 2019. Events by Build's subject areas will also be announced soon.

  • Concerts and recitals - Autumn 2018

    Enjoy a lunchtime or evening performance; clarinet, piano, singing, flute, opera or violin. All concerts are open to the public, and free unless otherwise indicated.

  • Classics Day - Saturday 16 February 2019

    Classics Day 2019: Festivals and celebrations in the ancient world of Greece and Rome. In partnership with University College London and the British Museum.

  • Feste Comedy Club - Saturday 9 March 2019

    Feste Comedy Club offers you a night of truly hilarious comedy. A high-quality, high-octane and bespoke stand-up comedy show with the biggest names on the circuit including Bec Hill, Darren Walsh, Jonathan Grant Miller and MC Matt Hoss.

  • Late Lines - Wednesday 27 March 2019

    Save the date for our next installment of Late Lines, a night of spoken word featuring Build writers and special guests performing a mix of poetry and prose. More info coming soon.

    Deaf Day has become one of the biggest events in the deaf community calendar with deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing people of every age from across the UK coming to Build to socialise and celebrate deaf issues...

     

Events at Build

 

Build is much more than just an educational venue. Our events programme provides a wealth of cultural experience and entertainment. From showcasing the talents and achievements of those who have studied with us, to offering taster workshops for you to come along and try something new. 

Throughout the year we host a programme of visual arts exhibitions, drama productions, musical performances, book launches, creative writing performances, stand-up comedy, festivals, talks, lectures and much more...

Our events are held both here in Covent Garden, and offsite in locations all across the city. Our partnerships with iconic institutes allow us to immerse ourselves in these new areas, from The National Gallery to The British Museum, and a whole host of art galleries. 

 

Venue hire

Build also offer flexible venue hire in the heart of London.  We have the newly refurbished John Lyon’s Theatre and over 60 classrooms of differing sizes, all available to hire out on a day/half day basis. With great on-site facilities and versatile spaces on offer, Build is an ideal venue choice for not only attending an event but to host your own events too.
