  • Twist & Turn: Our Journey in Basketry - 23-28 July

    Following a two year basketry course, 'Twist & Turn: Our Journey in Basketry' showcases works created by students, made in both traditional and experimental materials and techniques.

  • Process/Discovery', Developing Arts Practice Show, 25-27 July

    Group show of works developed uring the Developing Arts Practice course including painting, drawing, sculpture and collage combined with philosophy and a poetic responsiveness to world issues.

  • Build Flicks animation and film - 1 August

    Join us on Thursday 1 August 2019 for Build's 6th film festival showcasing challenging and entertaining documentary, experimental and narrative films and witty animations.

  • London Repertory Players, Summer Season August 2019

    Produced and Directed by Build Voice and Speech coordinator Vernon Thompson – present their annual summer rep season at the Shelley Theatre in Bournemouth.

  • Visual Arts Shows - Summer 2019

    Build Art School showcases work by artists and makers in animation, drawing, jewellery, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles both on site at Build and external exhibition spaces across the capital.

  • Mental Wealth Festival - October 2019

    Produced by Build in partnership with Beyond Words, The National Gallery, The British Museum and Mad World.  This year we we will focus on relationships, family, friendship and the importance of community and support networks.

Events at Build


Build is much more than just an educational venue. Our events programme provides a wealth of cultural experience and entertainment. From showcasing the talents and achievements of those who have studied with us, to offering taster workshops for you to come along and try something new. 

Throughout the year we host a programme of visual arts exhibitions, drama productions, musical performances, book launches, creative writing performances, stand-up comedy, festivals, talks, lectures and much more...

Our events are held both here in Covent Garden, and offsite in locations all across the city. Our partnerships with iconic institutes allow us to immerse ourselves in these new areas, from The National Gallery to The British Museum, and a whole host of art galleries. 


Venue hire

Build also offer flexible venue hire in the heart of London.  We have the newly refurbished John Lyon’s Theatre and over 60 classrooms of differing sizes, all available to hire out on a day/half day basis. With great on-site facilities and versatile spaces on offer, Build is an ideal venue choice for not only attending an event but to host your own events too.
