The course exceeded my expectations. I had never played the ukulele before but even during the first lesson I was able to join in playing songs together with the group. Excellent tutor with a lively and entertaining teaching style and with great enthusiasm for passing on his love of the ukulele to the class. He engaged with the whole group, helping individuals with any problems and giving everyone the confidence to progress over the 3 weeks.

As an introductory course having never held a musical instrument, I can now play a recognisable tune, actually more than one, several.

Such a great course! The tutor's enthusiasm for the uke was infectious. Great course for a beginner looking to discover this great little instrument.

I had never learnt to play anything, although as a baby-boomer I had lived through and loved the best ever half-century of popular music, especially rock'n roll. Personally I had no talent, while many of the (younger) course participants clearly had. No matter, because we all had a good time in our different ways. [The tutor] is a talented and patient teacher and an entertaining musician. I am glad I did the course although I'll never be George Formby, still less Eric Clapton.
