The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Humanities and Social Science) is a qualification designed for those who have left school without the usual qualifications and wish to progress to university study. It is a highly intensive, fast-track route to higher education where you will complete the equivalent of 3 A-Levels in one year, and requires attendance two nights per week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 6-9.15pm, as well as tutorials every two weeks (from 5pm) and substantial private study.
The course fee is £2823, plus an upfront fee of £199 payable at the time of your enrolment.
If you’re unable to pay the course fee upfront, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the cost. The Advanced Learning Loan is written off on completion of a Higher Education degree course. You can find more information about the Advanced Learner Loan

Location on this date: OS - Off SiteThe level 2 award in peer mentoring has been developed for learners who want to be peer mentors, giving support to other individuals to enable them to make changes in their lives. The qualification provides an understanding of the peer mentoring process and the key skills used in peer mentoring. You will learn about peer mentoring with young people, people with mental health issues, addictions, homelessness and those who have experienced challenges in their lives. We welcome applications from those who have lived experience in these areas.
This course is FREE if one of the following applies:
a) You are employed and earn less than £20,572.50 . You need to have lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years and be a citizen of the UK or a country within the EU. You may also be eligible for this funding in other circumstances. When you come for assessment or enrolment, bring a pay slip dated within 3 months of the course start date, or a current employment contract that shows your gross salary.
b) You are either on Jobseekers' Allowance or Employment & Support Allowance (WRAG). Please bring proof of income to your assessment or enrolment.
c) You receive other state benefits (including Universal Credit), earn less than £338 a month (individual claims) or £541 a month (household claims) and are doing the course to become employed or move into more sustainable employment.
