What is the course about?
Using social media is great for business and personal use. However, it can become very time consuming or frustrating. This course is designed to offer some helpful advice and techniques on how to use social media smarter, faster, and better.
What will we cover?
Time-saving social media posting through free auto scheduling platforms:
Facebook (using business pages)
Twitter (using Tweetdeck)
Instagram (using Later)
Sharing your LinkedIn posts to Twitter
How to delete and edit posts after they have gone live
Learn to use third-party applications that can help you track clicks (using Bitly)
Improving your photos using filter and text (using Phonto, Cinegraphic and other apps)
Recording and editing a video for posting to social media (using iMovie or Vont)
Discuss how to create content that will be seen by more followers to gain reach without having to buy it!
Boosting a post and creating an ad with a target audience.
Writing a Social Media Business Strategy and how to stick to it.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is suitable for students who have a good understanding of how to use LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Learners should feel confident on logging into their accounts, posting live messages and checking notifications. We will be doing work in class, so students will be expected to execute tasks and post live. (will be shown how to delete if necessary).
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This class will be hands-on, using a computer and focus on social media platforms. It will also incorporate other websites. Assignments and tasks will be given during class and students are asked to post live in class to complete some tasks. Handouts will be provided to students by the tutor.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
You should have access to your existing social media account(s) and remember to bring with you the log in details. If you don’t have existing account(s) you will need to bring a valid email address and its password to sign up for a new account. This will help you to practice the course content during the class and gain valuable hands-on experience.
