What is the course about?
In this intensive course, you will learn how to successfully publish your first book in Amazon Kindle format and other formats using an existing Word document. You will need good internet skills and experience of using Word.
To successfully publish your book on Amazon, you need to have a good understanding of how Amazon works behind the scenes and how to take advantage of this. You also need to consider how a customer finds your book and major factors that affect their decision to buy.

By the end of this course you should be able to...
• Prepare and format ePubs and other digital book formats
• Make your ebook available on Amazon and other digital bookstores
• Develop a pricing and marketing strategy for your book release.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is for beginners but you should have experience of using Word documents and good internet skills. You should also be able to follow spoken instructions, read written instructions and information, and discuss work with your tutor.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Each student has their own computer. Presentations will be made using computers, interactive whiteboard, overhead screen and printed notes. Step by step instruction, with demonstrations where appropriate, will help you grasp the concepts.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Written work on a usb memory stick would be useful but is not a requirement.
