Suitable if you have completed module 2 or equivalent. On this course you will learn to communicate more fully and fluently in a wider range of everyday situations and conversations.


What is the course about?

You will learn to communicate more fully and fluently in a wider range of everyday situations and conversations. You will also understand the subtle expressions using more verbs and adjective forms, making strengthen the grammar points you have already studied previously.

What will we cover?

Saying the order of habitual actions or asking things to do following the order,
talking about your capability, explaining about your neighborhood what exists and what possible to be done there, talking about your hobbies and future dreams, saying your Japanese cultural experiences, talking about your weekend or summer holiday plan.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- expressing a sequence of events using dictionary form
- changing noun clause using nominalizer
- talking about past experiences using ta-form
- using the daverbial form of adjectives to modify verbs
- expressing “doning A and B among other activities” using ta-form
- some kanji
- new adjectives and verbs
- all grammar patterns are related to Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 ( JLPT N5).

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You should have completed Japanese for Busy People 1 -revised edition 3 and book 2 ( lesson 1 ~ 3 ) or have an equivalent knowledge of the language and be fluent in Hiragana and Katakana. For further details of the specific foreign language skills required for this level, please see the languages self-assessment chart, using the link at the top of this page. You can also find the chart at the start of the languages section in our course guide. You will also need to be able to respond to simple instructions and read course documents in English and be at ease with the use of number for daily activities (e.g. using money, telling the time, etc).

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

- active students’ interaction
- emphasis on speaking and listening skills
- pair and group work
- role plays
- use of realia, pictures and authentic material
- use of audio-visual techniques when appropriate
Please note, students are expected to participate in oral classroom activities and to do some homework as and when required.

Book 2 Lesson 3, 5, 6 & 7.

It is very informative and you learn a lot. If you also go during the day, the class sizes are smaller and far better.
