Please note: All our essential skills courses are FREE if you are in work and earn less than £19,890 a year. When you come for assessment or enrolment, bring a pay slip dated within 3 months of the course start date, or a current employment contract that shows your salary. The majority of English and maths courses are free for everyone while other courses have zero or reduced fees if you are on JSA, ESA (WRAG) or a means-tested benefit.   1. Pathway to ECDL level 3

    Level 3 Certificate in IT User Skills (ECDL Advanced) is an important commitment. Prepare yourself on this short course and make sure Level 3 is the right one for you. This course will ensure you make the most of your ECDL Level 3 course and have the skills to achieve the qualification once you start.

    This course is FREE if one of the following applies:





    a) You are employed and earn less than £19,890. You need to have lived in the UK or EU for the last 3 years and be a citizen of the UK or a country within the EU. You may also be eligible for this funding in other circumstances. When you come for assessment or enrolment, bring a pay slip dated within 3 months of the course start date, or a current employment contract that shows your gross salary.





    Or





    b) You are either on Jobseekers' Allowance or Employment & Support Allowance (WRAG). Please bring proof of income to your assessment or enrolment.

    c) You receive other state benefits (including Universal Credit), earn less than £338 a month (individual claims) or £541 a month (household claims) and are doing the course to become employed or move into more sustainable employment.

  2. ECDL advanced level 3 at your own pace: Excel

    Course Date: Tue 21 May 2019

    Do you want to know that you can work to an outstanding level in any work environment requiring an expertise in Excel? Do you want a qualification to prove these skills? This course will enable you to prepare for the Spreadsheet software unit within the Level 3 ECDL Award in and take the exam when you are ready. You can achieve all the units you need for the Award by taking our other courses in Word Processing and Presentation software. However, you may decide you just want to develop Level 3 spreadsheet skills without taking the exam or wait a while. Tat’s fine too! Whether you do the exam or not, by the end of the course you will have exceptional proficiency in using spreadsheets and have a high level of skill and practical experience in creating and maintaining complex spreadsheets, manipulating charts, creating and using scenarios, developing templates, linking cells, worksheets and workbooks, as well as using complicated functions of various types, and using data tables and databases in MS Excel 2016.

    Are you new or returning to word processing, spreadsheets and presentations? Join this course and learn how to use the most important basic features of Word, Excel and Powerpoint. This course will give you the confidence to use the programs independently as well as pursue your studies to a higher level.
