Description

What is the course about?

In this lively workshop we will watch film trailers in French and engage in a variety of listening and speaking activities.
With a particular emphasis on speaking, listening practice and vocabulary building, you will also increase your confidence in using the language.

What will we cover?

An exploration of a variety of French film trailers and discussions around them.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Show knowledge of a variety of French film trailers;
- Contribute to a discussion around this theme;
- Demonstrate increased confidence in speaking French.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

The workshop will be delivered entirely in French, so you should have studied French to our level 2 upper and 3 lower / upper
Active participation is expected.
It is also essential that you have knowledge of intermediate grammar terminology such as: noun, adjectives, subjunctive, conditional.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

The course is based on the communicative approach with:
- active student interaction
- emphasis on speaking and listening skills
- pair and group work
- role plays
- use of realia, pictures and authentic material
- use of audio-visual resources.
