My self-confidence has improved and now I cope with social situations I'd have avoided before. I've learned techniques and approaches which help in everyday communication; I feel less isolated.

This course gave me the confidence to know now that I can competently lipread in many situations and that I'll be able to get the gist of what is being said or to use other strategies to understand well enough.
