What is the course about?
A drop-in style club which allows members to enjoy and experience new aspects of acting each week. Whether an experienced performer or beginner, each week Drama Club will offer something that suits you. Drama Club members will be able to contribute each week to the experience of drama in discussion and performance.
What will we cover?
Group bonding is a good starting point with theatre based games and interactive exercises, with newcomers able to immediately participate whenever they choose to arrive.
Performance techniques will include improvisation, creating character and voice.
Please note that acting classes by their very nature can involve exercises and the exploration of material that some students may find challenging.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Beginners, improvers and experienced participants are welcome at this class.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
You do not have to commit to a full course, but instead pay a subscription for each session you attend. Keep doing this all year, or just drop in for one term only. This is drama, on your terms!
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
General information and advice on courses at Build is available from the Student Centre and Library on Monday to Friday from 12:00 – 19:00.

The course is nice and fun in case you want to meet people with the same interest. Do not expect to become a professional actor and just relax!
