This isn't about taking better photographs, but about exploring how to turn (event) photography into a living. You should be a serious photographer to get the most from the course, and know your way around your camera in manual mode. Ed's an excellent tutor; I learned a lot from him and left the course feeling very motivated. Highly recommended.
