Deepen your knowledge of Hebrew grammar and further develop your ability to translate from the Bible. Please note that there will be no class on 30th September, 14th and 21st October as they are Jewish Holidays.


What is the course about?

Deepening knowledge of Hebrew grammar and ability to translate from the Bible.

What will we cover?

Reading biblical texts from Judges.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Translate more fluently.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You need to have competed Biblical Hebrew 3 or have an equivalent knowledge.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

By worksheets supplied by the teacher and by reading chapters from the bible. There will be regular assignments to prepare the texts to be studied in class.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

Texts read in class will be supplied by the teacher but you may find it helpful to bring a grammar and biblical dictionary.

Biblical Hebrew Advanced, module 2.

Go ahead and book yourself in so long as you have a fairly sound grasp of Hebrew Grammar to start with. You will enjoy group class translation as you take turns on verses.

The teacher is fantastic. She has a very deep knowledge of the Bible and viewpoints and is able to help every student to progress by her sensitive and perceptive style. A great mix of reading and grammar.
