Try your hand at making beautiful, creative objects out of clay. Working in one of our ceramics studios, our friendly and experienced tutors will teach you a range of techniques to help you master the ancient craft of pottery. Our pottery courses take place during the evening, daytime and weekend, just remember to book early as these popular courses fill up fast! Any questions?   1. Animal forms in ceramic

  4. Ceramics portfolio course

  5. Ceramics: constructing with clay

  6. Ceramics: saggar and raku firing

    Extend your ceramics practice by exploring approaches to live flame firings using gas kilns and foraged coastal materials.   12. Build ceramics diploma: two-year course

    Course Date: Thu 14 Sep 2017

    Designed for people with previous experience in ceramics or other art-related practice, this course encourages your development in a broad-based programme of ceramic study. You’ll have the opportunity to exhibit at the New Designers show at the Business Design Centre in Islington and an external venue for your final exhibition.

    The second round of advisory interviews take place in June 2017. You’ll need to bring a portfolio of 2D and 3D/clay work alongside your sketchbooks. During the interview you will be asked write a short paragraph to demonstrate your writing skills and to show your understanding of the use of numbers.   14. Designing for ceramic work with Photoshop

    Convert scanned images, photos or artwork made within Photoshop into ceramic transfers that you'll apply to plates, cups etc. Work will be kiln fired.   15. Experimental ceramics with found objects
