    Build an individual fine art practice by exploring painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and contextual studies in a series of structured projects. You will be expected to keep up with current exhibitions in London. Group tutorials will help you adopt an independent and experimental approach to your work. The course can be taken for personal development or act as a bridge between adult short courses and entry to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Basic materials included.

    Consolidating the experience gained in year 1, you will pursue a more individual route, resulting in a body of work reflecting your own concerns. You will have one-to-one tutorials and will learn a range of skills from practising artists. Basic materials included. Entry into year 2 will be by interview. Individual applications from prospective students who have not undertaken year 1 may be considered if places are available.

  5. Contemporary practice: personal project

The course is facilitated by practising artists, theorists and curators, and includes the opportunity to study on additional creative and critical programmes.

  6. Developing art practice

    This advanced course for developing and practicing artists consists of work-based seminars facilitated by peers, artists and experts in the field, giving you the opportunity to develop and present your work for critical discussion. The course includes individual tutorials and mentoring, critical investigation and site visits, an exhibition, as well as online discussion and debate.
