What is the course about?

The course provides a basic understanding and overview of some major systems of the body, and how each of those systems interact with others. You'll gain knowledge of various anatomical terms and organs of the body associated with the systems covered. The classes are designed to appeal to students attending out of interest as well as those wishing to progress onto advanced levels or a level 3 diploma in massage or complementary therapies.

This course is the ideal pre-requisite for our ITEC Level 3 diploma in massage.

- the skin
- the skeletal system including joints
- the muscular system

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

We covered a lot of content in this course and yet I still felt I had time to learn everything. This was largely due to the excellent manner in which it was taught and the class room exercises we participated in. We were encouraged to improve our understanding on certain topics without feeling too pressured. I think anyone wanting to learn more about Anatomy and Physiology, whether it be for work, education or just out of interest, will enjoy this course.
