What is the course about?
Exploring in depth the world of radio drama and developing your skills, experience and knowledge by performing on mic in various radio and voiceover scenarios.
What will we cover?
We will record a variety of scenes and monologues which will give practical experience of working on the radio.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Identify the staff working on a radio drama.
Explain the process of recording a radio drama.
Explain the specific demands of a range of audio recordings.
Outline what to include on a voice reel and how to seek work in radio drama and voice-overs.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This is an “improvers” course . You should have completed Acting for Radio Beginners; Voice-overs; Radio Presenting ; or Creating Character Voices,or have comparable previous experience.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
By recording, playing back and discussion students’ work. Some recordings will require preparation prior to class.
As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?
Radio Presenting, Voiceovers, any other Improvers' or Advanced acting courses.
