This was a great course,. It was pretty tiring (over 6 hours of drawing!) but it left me feeling energised for days afterwards.
It's a great way to try lots of different methods and media in a short space of time. It really made me realise my strengths and weaknesses as an artist.
I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Disappointing - great if you are a beginner, but far too basic for those with some drawing experience (as specified in the course outline). We failed to complete 100 drawings, managing only just over half this amount, due to poor organisation from the tutor. Materials provided were plentiful and varied, however, but I think the course description needs amending.

I participated in a couple of these day courses. The best one was led by the tutor on this course. The course was very well structured and organised by the tutor, with clear instructions and fast yet achievable pace to get us to produce 100 drawings in a day. The first half of the day involved some perhaps 50 one to two minute sketches. The second half of the day allowed for more detailed drawings. Every exercise was different and interesting, giving you the chance to try out different mark making and ways to approach drawing. All this was accompanied by efficient and interesting slide shows of various artists' drawing styles. I got as much from a one day course with this tutor as from some 10 week drawing courses I have done in the past. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent intensive day programme of drawing activities that really challenge you. You learn a lot in one day, and you truly discover your personal style of mark-making when forced to work under time pressure. You move throughout the day from making quick 1 min sketches (both in small format and large format with easel) to more detailed drawings with more time, as well as creating a large scale drawing in collaboration with others, which was a fantastic new experience for me. I will definitely repeat this day course again to see what various tutors can add to my knowledge of drawing processes.
