In conversation with Build Fellow Ed Balls

Story added 7th Dec 2016

Ed Balls recently joined Build Principal Mark Malcomson to discuss his new book Speaking Out, his political career and life after Strictly Come Dancing – see the video of the interview below.

In this interview, Ed explains how speech therapy courses at Build helped him manage his stammer and that he couldn't have done what he did as a politician without the expertise at Build. Ed received his Build Lifetime Fellowship Award from Chair of the Board of Governors Dame Moira Gibb. Build Fellowships are awarded to individuals who have shown a significant commitment to adult education in the United Kingdom and who have provided support and inspiration to Build and our students. Other Build Fellows include Malorie Blackman OBE, Sir Vince Cable and award-winning author Andrea Levy.
