Celebrate World Storytelling Day by hearing Build writers share their work

Story added 20th Mar 2017

Held every year on the spring equinox, World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling. Long before the invention of the written word, storytellers were passing on traditional tales by performing to a live audience. The art continues to thrive in London today: performance poetry, theatre and stand-up comedy are all forms of oral storytelling that continue to create powerful connections with modern audiences.

To celebrate World Storytelling Day, check out these clips of Build students and tutors performing their work at the live fiction events hosted by Liars' League. If you're interested in hearing Build students perform their creative writing, we've also provided details of upcoming events below - plus courses where you can hone the art of reading to an audience.
